Sometimes I'm so inspired by a conversation, an image, or an idea that I can't let it go........it sinks its teeth into me, and I know I have to act in some way. This is the result of one such encounter.
I guess you would say these are the ground rules I've set for myself.......I will not dwell in the past unless it has value of a lesson learned. I will not mention other people by name (we have to protect the innocent, you know), and I will try to keep it light........enough of the rules.....
I'm a Nurse........a new Nurse as a matter of fact, and I'm sure there will be stories to tell of the unusual and hilarious. I work with the public every day, and let's face it.......people are just darn funny! However, at the moment, I'm most excited about about starting this blog and finally having time to explore my love of outdoor photography. I also have a deep love for my Lord, and will be happy to share what I am learning in my pursuit of a closer walk with Him. If not for Him, I would not be here today.......He literally saved my life.
I just noticed something........did you notice how much I use this........? That's odd......I never noticed that before. Oh well, as long as you can follow me, I guess it doesn't matter. It just seems so appropriate sometimes.......
Today I set aside time to do nothing more than take pics with my point and shoot camera. After visiting this state park with my niece, yesterday, I returned today (with a fully charged camera battery) with the idea of spending some quality time in this beautiful place with a 3 year old Canon Power Shot. I should mention here that I have never, and I repeat never read one word of the manual that accompanied this camera. Its on my list of things to do..........I promise..........maybe. LOL! I HATE MANUALS............Now, I realize this might be stumbling block on my way to becoming a better photographer, so I'm determined to face this fear! I will open the manual.................baby steps! So...........here's my first attempt at outdoor photography...........and can I just say...............I had so much fun, lost track of time, fell down, dropped my camera down a steep incline, and forgot my case and had to go all the way back just to retrieve it.............but it was all worth it...............love you, A.........thanks for inspiring me!
